The Butterfly Pleco, also known as L168, is a stunning and relatively small pleco species native to South America. Its eye-catching zebra-like stripes and peaceful temperament make it a popular choice for aquarists seeking a decorative yet functional bottom-dweller. This pleco prefers tanks with plenty of driftwood, caves, and hiding spots, along with good water flow and oxygenation. It is mainly herbivorous but appreciates a varied diet of algae wafers and occasional protein foods.
