The Cobalt Blue Cichlid is a beautiful Lake Malawi Mbuna species loved for its intense solid blue coloration and lively, active nature. Hardy and full of personality, this fish thrives in rocky aquariums with plenty of caves and territories to explore. Like other Mbuna, males show the brightest electric-blue color, while females are slightly paler but still attractive. They do best in well-structured, spacious aquariums with other similar-tempered Malawi cichlids.

• Temperature Range: 24–28°C

• pH Range: 7.8–8.6

• Recommended School Size: Groups of 4 or more to spread aggression

• Compatibility: Semi-aggressive; best with other Mbuna of similar size and temperament

• Max Size: 12–15 cm
