A high-impact Tanganyikan cichlid with fiery orange-red colour and constant movement

The Tropheus Moorii “Firefox” is a standout African cichlid known for its intense orange to red colouration that glows under aquarium lighting. When kept in groups, their colour, energy, and interaction create a seriously impressive display.

Like all Tropheus, they are active, territorial, and require a specialised setup. A rocky aquarium with plenty of hiding spots is essential to reduce aggression and mimic their natural habitat. They thrive in larger groups, which helps spread aggression and encourages natural behaviour. Best suited to experienced aquarists, this species is ideal for dedicated Lake Tanganyika setups.
