Zebra Spiny Eel (Macrognathus zebrinus) A fascinating and unique eel-like fish with bold zebra striping, perfect for oddball and semi-aggressive setups
The Zebra Spiny Eel is a striking freshwater species known for its elongated, snake-like body adorned with black and yellow zebra-like stripes. Peaceful yet predatory, it thrives in aquariums with soft substrate, hiding spots, and a secure lid (as they’re skilled escape artists). This nocturnal fish is shy during the day but becomes active at night, foraging along the bottom. Best kept with medium-sized, non-aggressive tankmates, it adds exotic appeal and intriguing behavior to large aquariums.
