Albino Clownknife

A rare predatory centrepiece fish with a striking pale body and flowing knife-like shape

The Albino Clown Knifefish is an eye-catching colour form of the Clown Knifefish, displaying a creamy white to pale pink body with translucent fins and reddish eyes. Its long, compressed body and rippling anal fin create a smooth, graceful swimming motion unlike almost any other freshwater fish.

This species grows extremely large and requires a spacious aquarium with powerful filtration, open swimming room, secure hiding places and a tightly fitted lid. Albino Clown Knifefish are nocturnal predators and will eat fish small enough to fit in their mouths, so they are best suited to experienced aquarists with appropriately sized tank mates.
