Albino Threadfin Acara

A graceful albino cichlid with flowing fins and soft golden-white tones

The Albino Threadfin Acara is a stunning variation of the Threadfin Acara, featuring a pale cream to golden body with pinkish albino eyes and long, elegant finnage. Males develop extended dorsal and tail streamers, giving this species a flowing, almost feather-like appearance as it moves through the aquarium.

Peaceful for its size, this South American cichlid does well in larger aquariums with soft sand, driftwood, and open swimming space. As an eartheater-type species, it enjoys sifting through fine substrate for food. While generally community-friendly, it can become territorial during breeding. A fantastic centrepiece fish for planted or South American biotope setups.
