Anubias Barteri Coin Leaf is a hardy, slow-growing aquarium plant known for its rounded, coin-shaped green leaves and strong, compact growth. It is a great choice for adding bold leaf texture to driftwood, rocks, and shaded areas in planted aquariums.
Supplied as a tissue culture, this plant arrives clean, pest-free, algae-free, and snail-free — making it ideal for aquascapers who want healthy plants without introducing unwanted hitchhikers into their aquarium.
Why it belongs in your tank
- Rounded coin-shaped leaves – adds bold texture and a unique look to aquascapes
- Hardy and beginner-friendly – suitable for low tech planted aquariums and community tanks
- Great for attaching to hardscape – ideal for driftwood, rocks, and feature pieces
- Tissue culture quality – clean, sterile, and free from pests, algae, and snails
- Low maintenance growth – does not require high light or CO₂ to thrive
How to use it
Rinse off the tissue culture gel thoroughly, divide the plant into smaller portions, and attach it to rocks or driftwood using aquarium-safe glue, thread, or fishing line. Do not bury the rhizome under the substrate, as this can cause the plant to rot.
Anubias Barteri Coin Leaf grows best in low to moderate lighting and will benefit from regular liquid fertiliser. Because it is a slow-growing plant, avoid placing it directly under intense light for long periods, as this can encourage algae on the leaves.
If you want an easy, durable aquarium plant with bold rounded leaves and very little maintenance required, Anubias Barteri Coin Leaf is an excellent choice.
