Aragonite is composed of calcium carbonate, the same mineral found in coral skeletons and natural tropical reef beds. It gradually reacts under acidic conditions, helping support the pH and alkalinity required by marine livestock and hard-water cichlids.

The consistent grain size allows water and oxygen to move through the upper layer of the substrate, helping reduce compaction while creating a suitable habitat for beneficial bacteria.

Directions for Use
Lightly rinse the sand with clean water before adding it to the aquarium. Some temporary cloudiness may occur when the aquarium is first filled but should clear as the filtration system operates.
For new aquariums, place the sand into the tank before slowly adding water to minimise disturbance.
