Brown Mystery Snail (Pomacea bridgesii)

The Brown Mystery Snail is a popular and hardy freshwater snail species, known for its brown, golden, or tan-colored shell, which often has a slightly textured appearance. Like their blue counterparts, Brown Mystery Snails are excellent algae eaters and help keep aquariums clean by consuming algae, detritus, and leftover food. These snails are peaceful and slow-moving, making them ideal for community tanks. They prefer well-planted aquariums with soft, slightly acidic water. They are great for both beginner and experienced aquarists, as they are low-maintenance and contribute positively to the aquarium ecosystem.
