The Colombian Zebra Pleco (L129) is a beautifully patterned Hypancistrus species featuring sharp contrast between its dark body and irregular white striping. Smaller than many other plecos, it’s peaceful and shy, making it ideal for planted community tanks or soft water setups. Unlike many algae eaters, L129s are omnivorous and appreciate a mixed diet of quality protein and vegetables.

• Minimum Tank Size: 75 litres

• Temperature Range: 24–30°C

• pH Range: 6.0–7.5

• Behaviour: Peaceful, shy, prefers hiding places

• Compatibility: Great with peaceful tankmates—avoid boisterous or aggressive species
