Balling Trace 2 is designed for reef aquariums using the Fauna Marin Balling Light Method, where trace elements are replenished alongside calcium consumption.
This consumption-based approach means trace element supplementation naturally follows the demands of growing corals, making it suitable for both established reef aquariums and systems with particularly high mineral consumption.
Mixing & Dosage
Balling Trace 2 is added to the prepared Fauna Marin Balling Calcium Mix solution.
For a standard Calcium Mix stock solution:
Dissolve 2KG of Fauna Marin Balling Calcium Mix in approximately 3 litres of RO water.
Then add:
25ml Fauna Marin Balling Trace 1
25ml Fauna Marin Balling Trace 2
Top the container up with RO water to the required final volume and mix thoroughly.
Balling Trace 2 should not be dosed directly into the aquarium.
Exact dosing requirements vary between aquariums and should be adjusted according to consumption. For the most accurate supplementation, use regular water testing, ICP analysis or the Fauna Marin Balling Light Calculator.
