Balling Trace 3 is designed for reef aquariums using the Fauna Marin Balling Light Method, where trace elements are replenished alongside the aquarium's alkalinity consumption.
Its consumption-based approach allows trace element supplementation to follow the demands of growing corals, providing a controlled and consistent supply of important elements.
Mixing & Dosage
Balling Trace 3 is added exclusively to the prepared Fauna Marin Balling Carbonate Mix solution.
For a standard 5 litre Carbonate Mix stock solution:
Dissolve 500g of Fauna Marin Balling Carbonate Mix in approximately 3 litres of RO water.
Then add:
25ml Fauna Marin Balling Trace 3
Top the container up with RO water to approximately 5 litres and mix thoroughly.
Using lukewarm RO water can help the Carbonate Mix dissolve completely.
Balling Trace 3 should not be dosed directly into the aquarium.
Exact dosing requirements vary between aquariums and should be based on the individual consumption of the system. Regular water testing, ICP analysis or the Fauna Marin Balling Light Calculator can be used to fine-tune supplementation.
