Gold Ram (Mikrogeophagus ramirezi "Gold")

The Gold Ram is a striking and peaceful dwarf cichlid, selectively bred for its vibrant golden-yellow coloration and shimmering iridescence. A variant of the classic Ram Cichlid, the Gold Ram has a compact body with subtle blue highlights, red eyes, and a graceful swimming style. Despite its bold appearance, this fish is gentle and makes an excellent choice for peaceful community aquariums. They do best in well-maintained, planted tanks with soft, slightly acidic water and appreciate plenty of hiding spots.

• Recommended For: Peaceful community or South American-themed tanks

• Minimum Tank Size: 60 litres

• Temperature Range: 26-30°C

• pH Range: 5.5-7.0

• Recommended School Size: Singly or in bonded pairs

• Compatibility: Peaceful; avoid aggressive or very active tank mates

• Max Size: 7 cm
