Care Requirements
Hammer Corals prefer moderate lighting, with a PAR range of approximately 75–150 being a good target. Placement in the lower to middle areas of the aquarium is usually best, where the coral receives enough light without being exposed to overly intense lighting too quickly.
Water flow should be low to moderate and indirect. The tentacles should sway gently, not be pushed hard in one direction. Too much direct flow can cause the coral to retract or damage the fleshy polyps.
While Hammer Corals gain much of their energy through photosynthesis, they can benefit from occasional feeding with small meaty foods such as mysis shrimp or suitable LPS coral foods.

- Alkalinity: 8–12 dKH
- Magnesium: 1300–1400 ppm

Placement & Compatibility
Hammer Corals are semi-aggressive and can extend sweeper tentacles that may sting nearby corals. Allow at least 15cm of space around the coral to reduce the risk of coral warfare, especially near other LPS, soft corals, or SPS corals.
For best results, place your Metallic Green Hammer Coral on a stable rock or coral mount where it has room to expand fully. Slow acclimation is recommended, and new corals should be introduced gradually to stronger lighting.
