The Mixed Mbuna Cichlid is a hybrid species that results from the crossbreeding of different Mbuna cichlids from Lake Malawi. These cichlids inherit the best qualities of the parent species, including vibrant colors, active behavior, and territorial instincts. They are known for their striking patterns and hues, which can include bright yellows, blues, oranges, and reds. Like other Mbuna cichlids, they are energetic and territorial, requiring a large tank with plenty of hiding spots. They are ideal for aquarists who appreciate the dynamic nature of cichlids and enjoy the challenge of maintaining a robust and colorful community.

• Recommended For: Experienced aquarists who enjoy the energy and territorial nature of Mbuna cichlids

• Minimum Tank Size: 200 litres

• Temperature Range: 24–28°C

• pH Range: 7.5–8.5

• Recommended School Size: 1 male with several females (males can be territorial, especially during breeding)

• Compatibility: Can be aggressive; best with other robust, territorial cichlids

• Max Size: 12–15 cm
