Orange Skunk Clownfish
The Orange Skunk Clownfish (Amphiprion sandaracinos) is a striking and relatively peaceful clownfish, instantly recognisable by its bright yellow-orange body and broad white stripe running from the mouth along the entire length of its back.
Hardy, active and full of personality, this clownfish makes an excellent addition to established reef aquariums. Compared with some more territorial clownfish species, the Orange Skunk Clownfish is generally mild-mannered, making it a good choice for peaceful marine communities. Avoid housing it with large or overly aggressive fish that may intimidate it.
An anemone is not required to keep this species successfully. However, Orange Skunk Clownfish may naturally associate with Mertens’ Carpet Anemones or Sebae Anemones when suitable conditions are provided.
They can be kept individually or as a compatible pair. When purchasing two, adding them at the same time and selecting noticeably different-sized fish can improve the likelihood of successful pairing.
