Chocolate Striped Catfish (Panaque maccus)
The Chocolate Striped Catfish, also known as the L191 or the Queen of the River Catfish, is a stunning freshwater species recognized for its unique and striking appearance. Its body is characterized by alternating dark and light stripes that resemble chocolate-colored markings, hence its name. This peaceful and hardy catfish is a great addition to larger community tanks with other peaceful fish. Chocolate Striped Catfish are known for their wood-eating habits, and they thrive in aquariums with plenty of driftwood, which they graze on. They are active, but generally prefer to hide during the day and become more active at night.
