Red Tail Black Shark (Epalzeorhynchos bicolor)
The Red Tail Black Shark is a striking and bold species, known for its sleek black body with a vibrant red tail that contrasts beautifully. Despite its name, it is actually a species of freshwater fish and not a true shark. This fish is highly active and can be territorial, especially as it matures, so it is best suited for larger tanks with plenty of hiding spaces. While it can be aggressive towards other fish, especially those that resemble its shape or size, it does well with other robust and similarly sized fish. The Red Tail Black Shark makes an eye-catching addition to aquariums with a strong, active community.
