The Sobo Air Filter Bio Sponge is an air-driven sponge filter designed to provide gentle mechanical and biological filtration for freshwater aquariums. Available in Single Barrel and Double Barrel versions, these filters are powered by an external air pump and provide reliable filtration without the strong water currents produced by many conventional internal filters.
As water is drawn through the sponge, debris is trapped while the large porous surface provides an excellent home for beneficial bacteria. How It Works
The Sobo Bio Sponge Filter connects to an external aquarium air pump using standard airline tubing. Rising air bubbles create water movement through the sponge, allowing it to capture debris while continuously supplying oxygen-rich water to the beneficial bacteria living within the filter.
