A fast-moving schooling fish with shimmering silver body and subtle spotted pattern

The Spotted Silver Dollar is a classic South American species known for its round, disc-shaped body and reflective silver sheen. This variety features soft spotting across the body, adding extra visual interest while still maintaining that clean, metallic look that flashes beautifully as they move.

Active and social, Silver Dollars are best kept in groups where they will school tightly and create constant movement in the aquarium. They thrive in larger tanks with open swimming space and strong filtration. As natural herbivores, they may nibble on soft plants, making them better suited to hardier aquascapes or fish-focused setups.
