Swordtails are vibrant, active livebearers known for the distinctive “sword-like” extension on the males’ tails. Available in a wide variety of colours—including red, orange, yellow, black, and mixed patterns—Swordtails are hardy, easy to care for, and a popular choice for both beginners and seasoned aquarists. They’re social fish that do well in peaceful community tanks, especially with other livebearers. Swordtails are prolific breeders, so keep that in mind when choosing male-to-female ratios.
