Three Spot Gourami (Trichopodus trichopterus)

The Three Spot Gourami, also known as the Blue Gourami, is a striking freshwater fish recognized for its three distinctive dark spots on its body, giving it its name. It has a beautiful, elongated body with shimmering blue or silver scales. This species is peaceful but can display some territorial behavior, especially during breeding. Three Spot Gouramis are hardy and adaptable, making them a great addition to community tanks. They are best kept in a well-planted tank with plenty of hiding spots and calm waters.

• Recommended For: Community tanks with peaceful or semi-aggressive fish

• Minimum Tank Size: 75 litres

• Temperature Range: 24-28°C

• pH Range: 6.0-7.5

• Recommended School Size: Can be kept singly or in pairs

• Compatibility: Peaceful to semi-aggressive; avoid fin-nipping species

• Max Size: 12 cm
