The Tri-Colour Barb is an active and eye-catching species known for its vibrant blend of colours, typically featuring golden-yellow bodies accented with black markings and flashes of orange or red in the fins. Their bold contrast and constant movement make them a standout in any community aquarium.

Best kept in groups, Tri-Colour Barbs display natural schooling behaviour and become more confident and active in larger numbers. They thrive in well-planted aquariums with open swimming space and good water flow. While generally peaceful, they can be slightly nippy, so they are best paired with similarly active tankmates.
