The Yellow Tail Congo Tetra is a stunning schooling fish prized for its iridescent blue-green body and striking yellow caudal fin. As they mature, males develop extended flowing finnage and even more vibrant colours, creating an impressive display as they school through the aquarium.

Peaceful and active, this species thrives in well-planted aquariums with open swimming space and subdued lighting, which helps bring out its brilliant iridescent colours. Best kept in groups, Yellow Tail Congo Tetras display natural schooling behaviour and become more confident and colourful when surrounded by their own kind. They make an outstanding addition to larger community aquariums.
