Ecofix vs Microbial Algae Clean
These two products are designed for slightly different problems.
Choose Ecofix if:
Your main problem is sludge, fish waste, dead algae, leaves or organic muck.
Choose Microbial Algae Clean if:
Your main problem is green water caused by suspended algae.
Ecofix is also useful after an algae treatment because it can help break down the dead algae left behind.
Simply Fish Recommends
Ecofix works best alongside normal pond maintenance.
If you can easily remove large piles of leaves, dead plant material or heavy sludge, remove as much as possible first.
Then use Ecofix to help deal with the organic waste that is harder to physically remove.
Keeping your pond pump and filtration clean and flowing properly will also make a big difference to how much waste builds up over time.
